    • I am a Sherlock Holmes fan. 🙂 I haven’t read any of the non Doyle books, and frankly, like you, I am a little more than skeptical about authors doing it in the first place or doing it well. I believe this particular book has been authorized by Doyle’s family, so I figured I might want to give it a shot.

I have heard of Father Brown a couple times. What is it about?

Father Brown is a priest detective who solves cases through his insight into the human soul, which he picked up during his many years of ministry. G.K. Chesterton wrote five collections of short mysteries with Father Brown as the detective. Not all of the stories are great, but I wholeheartedly recommend The Blue Cross. =)
