Genre: New Adult Erotic Suspense Romance
“All my life, I battled with the knowledge I was twisted… fucked up to want something so deliciously dark—wrong on so many levels. But then slave fifty-eight entered my world. Hissing, fighting, with a core of iron, she showed me an existence where two wrongs make a right.”
Tess is Q’s completely. Q is Tess’s irrevocably. But now, they must learn the boundaries of their unconventional relationship, while Tess seeks vengeance on the men who sold her. Q made a blood-oath to deliver their corpses at Tess’s feet, and that’s just what he’ll do.
He may be a monster, but he’s Tess’s monster.
Quintessentially Q is the second book in the Monsters In The Dark Series
REVIEW I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.
This was a ridiculously hard book to read. I had to put it down for a while before picking it back up to finish because I was such an emotional wreck over what was going on in the novel.
A lot of stuff happened in QQ. Major plot spoilers. I mean huge. There’s so much that I will not write about a single one of them, and therefore this review will be very short.
This novel was quite an emotional roller coaster– for the audience and the characters. Have tissues handy when you read. The writing is very raw, so raw it’s touch to chew sometimes. But the that Pepper Winters was able to write this so successfully gave her kudos in my book.
Plus, fear not, there was a light at the end of the tunnel. Tess and Q get a happy ending.
Worst part: I have to say the alternating POVs.
Best part: Beginning and the ending.
Recommend For: Fans of Tears of Tess, sexual slavery and BDSM.
Other Books by This Author: Tears of Tess
Pepper Winters wears many roles. Some of them include writer, reader, sometimes wife. She loves dark, taboo stories that twist with your head. The more tortured the hero, the better, and she constantly thinks up ways to break and fix her characters. Oh, and sex… her books have sex.
She loves to travel and has an amazing, fabulous hubby who puts up with her love affair with her book boyfriends.
Her debut book Tears of Tess will be followed with Quintessentially Q. You didn’t think Q could stop so soon, did you? Her other two titles, Last Shadow and Broken Chance will be coming soon.
